Born Marc Milecofsky, Marc Ecko started selling t-shirts out of his garage in the mid 1980s before launching his own line of clothing in 1993. Those humble beginnings have brought a great deal of success in the years since…

In 1996 the Marc Ecko clothing label was thrown into the public eye with designs in Jurassic Park 2. The following years, Marc Ecko was included in a number of prominent magazines and placed on numerous lists, such as “50 Most Fascinating People in Menswear”.

In 1999, Ecko released a line of footwear endorsed by Fred Durst, then frontman of Limp Bizkit, as well as being the first design house to appear in a video game.

The year 2000 brought the first shipment of Marc Ecko to Japan, making the brand international. The label then expanded by acquiring Zoo York in 2001, a brand which caters to the skateboarding and graffiti lifestyle.

In recent years the brand has expanded to include a watch collection as well a lifestyle magazine titled “Complex.”
